We are dedicated to the pursuit of professional excellence in the field of court reporting and trial services and are excited to explore candidates to fill our open position of Accounting Specialist in our St. Louis MO office.

Accounting

  • Key all data from Sales Register and Cash Receipts Voids/ Credit Memos into QuickBooks and verify daily totals balance
  • Record all deposits from the bank and reconcile with daily cash logs from Collections
  • Remote Deposit processing
  • Weekly Cashflow Forecast
  • Accounts Payables
  • Accounts Receivables
  • Collections
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assign appropriate General Ledger codes to purchases
  • Enter expense details into QuickBooks databases & appropriate spreadsheets
  • Assist with the 1099’s preparation
  • Process ACH and checks payments
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations
  • Record the prepaid expenses
  • Prepare forecasting of weekly payments
  • Process weekly reports for A/R and A/P
  • Record American Express charges
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliations
  • Enter expense details into QuickBooks databases & appropriate spreadsheets
  • Assist with the 1099’s preparation
  • Process ACH and checks payments
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with pulling expense reports and handling other special projects
  • Assist with other general accounting duties as assigned
  • Assist with Positive Pay processing

Marketing and Miscellaneous

  • Assist with the supplier diversity registrations
  • Register the Independent Contractors and record W-9 and ACH information
  • Assist creating new vendors
  • Prepare the Missouri State Quarterly reports

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Three (3) years office experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong MS Office and QuickBooks skills
